Turtle Beach, best known for its expansive range of gaming headsets, spanning across all systems, will soon be adding a new line up of PC gaming peripherals. In an earlier press statement, Roccat is to be added to the Turtle Beach line up, for the price tag of £14.4 million.
Having fallen from grace, Turtle Beach is now known for its value for money, and with the acquisition of Roccat, Turtle Beach is set to expand into a higher market. While we don’t see Roccat disappearing from shelves anytime soon, this move seems to be aimed at the bigger companies such as Logitech and Razer. Both companies are making strides within the industry to expand their own portfolios.
Juergen Stark, CEO of Turtle Beach welcomed the new addition to the family, “We are thrilled to welcome René Korte and the ROCCAT team to the Turtle Beach family, as they are a highly talented group with deep experience in PC accessories and have a similar focus on providing high quality, innovative products to gamers worldwide.”
This marks a turning point in the history of Turtle Beach, as they are currently the global leader in gaming audio breaking into a heavily saturated PC gaming market.
