It’s been a while since we last heard anything on the state of Rocksteady’s next game. For the past year, focus has been on WB Montreal and their unannounced Batman: Arkham reboot. A new rumour from Kinda Funny Games Daily host, Imran Khan has arisen and it has suggested that Rocksteady is currently hard at work on a Suicide Squad project.
Though Khan does concede that he heard the same rumours of WB Montreal working on the cancelled Suicide Squad project this information a few years ago, it does align with other rumours that circulated last August. Back then, two separate sources claimed that Rocksteady were indeed creating a title based on the Suicide Squad, but they were mostly brushed off. It coming up again now, however, seems to bolster those previous claims.
Though little else was revealed, Khan also suggested the game would adopt a ‘games as service’ model, something which has also long been rumoured.
