The next and latest update to come to Red Dead Online will introduce specialist roles, along with a herd of quality of life additions.
The first of these three Roles is the Bounty Hunter. They will complete contracts for rewards, carrying out their work honourably or dishonourably, and bounties can be placed on nearby players. Rewards include a reinforced lasso, gun-spinning tricks, and the ability to use Eagle-Eye while sprinting or on horseback.
The Trader will be the forefront of the economic structure in the Wild West. From their camp, the Trader will collect materials from the environment, hunting, skinning and producing high value and high demand trappings for sale. Progressing as a Trader will allow players to upgrade the home base with a Weapons Locker, Stew Pot and a pet dog.
The Collector will have the role of collecting tools such as the Refined Binoculars, a Horse Lantern and a Metal Detector, as these become available, they will allow players to travel to the furthest corners of the map.
Players won’t be locked in to either of the three roles, and can progress in each specialist simultaneously. Along with these, Rockstar has planned out new content and improvements for Red Dead Online. Character appearances will also be modifiable in the update, and as well as that, there will be a more responsive combat and movement system.
There’s no current release date for when the update will make its way out.
