After a rather quiet release, Dark Souls studio FromSoftware has released a new game – Déraciné, within this PS VR game an is an easter egg that hints at a possible sequel to Bloodborne.
There’s a doll in Déraciné whose arms form the ‘Make Contact’ gesture, which look an awful like the Dark Souls’s ‘Praise the Sun’ gesture. The other connections being that in Bloodborne, the companion is also a doll, although a different design, the connection is still pretty clear.
The Easter egg starts to get juicy when reading the doll’s description, it reads:
“A doll of the stone girl Fiona, who appears in the unfinished tale. When a person has a bad dream, Fiona appears and helps them flee.”
But those words stand out as a possible hint that FromSoftware has more to tell us about Bloodborne’s world, even more so when remembering that Dark Souls ended up as a Trilogy, rather than the one standalone title.
