Planet Coaster has been rolling over the rollercoaster simulation market on PC since 2016, and from next year it’ll be available on consoles, too.
Developed by Frontier Developments, Planet Coaster has given Rollercoaster Tycoon a run for its money since its release, and is widely known as the leader in theme park simulation games.
The only downfall of the game so far is that it has been only out on PC. But that’s all about to change: Planet Coaster is making its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in summer 2020.
The console version will have the same level of strategy and customisation that’s found in the PC version, and the announcement promises it will “benefit from the ongoing development since its original launch”. It’s not clear if that means that Planet Coaster: Console Edition will come bundled with any of the numerous expansions.
