Since last year, Nintendo has been rumored to be developing a more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch. The Switch Lite was released last year, and fans are expecting that the company will release the powerful console in 2020. However, a new report claims that while the Switch Pro will not feature major performance improvements.
The imagined Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to sport major performance improvements from the original Switch. Based on the latest report from Taiwan with sources in Korea, the console will feature the Volta architecture of NVIDIA for its graphics processing unit. Earlier rumors suggested that Nintendo will use the latest Tegrax1+, but the new report claims otherwise.
The Nintendo Switch pro will use a new custom processor that Nintendo and NVIDIA are working on. Despite the new processors, fans should not expect massive performance improvements and 4K support, according to Wccftech.
In short, the Nintendo Switch Pro could arrive before the end of the year or by the Christmas season. A few weeks ago, Digitimes shared that the new Switch model would arrive in 2020.
It was anticipated that the Nintendo Switch Pro would be strategically released the battle with the release of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
At this point, Nintendo has not yet confirmed the existence of the Switch Pro.
