When it comes to console power, everyone wants to be on top, it’s a major selling point of any new console iteration. Slowly, we are seeing next generation details start to trickle out, and PlayStation appears to have played an ace, as the PS5 power appears to have been leaked to be powerful enough to provide an experience “without disconnections”, stuttering or loading.
Sony and Microsoft used to be quite persistent in saying that they didn’t have a next-gen console planned yet. Last month, however, details of what is expected to be called the PlayStation 5 came out of the blue, courtesy of AMD.
New information appears to have risen online, and coming directly from Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai himself. One of the most interesting parts of the presentation is a video showing the next-gen PlayStation’s rendering power compared to the current PS4 Pro.
The video shows the PS4 Pro taking more than 8 seconds to render a scene, the unnamed console took less than one.

Hirai was also quoted to have said that the next PlayStation would offer a gaming experience “anytime, anywhere, without disconnection”. This appears to have had led people to believe a sort of potential Nintendo Switch rival could be on the cards.
