What a gem this title is, Pedro stars as the main character in this game, however, he’s an actual and literal banana. I played this title while attending Rezzed this year. All I can is that it was most definitely worth the wait and is working its way onto my pre-order list.
The main basis of this game is that you’re a parkour, gunslinging, French man, teamed with a the aforementioned Pedro – The badass banana. During the demo, I worked my way through the three levels on show, the first one being the real get to grips with this game. Its nice that its got a real matrix type flow to the game, in that you can slow down time, dive through the air shooting shit up in multiple directions.
One thing I loved about the gameplay is that its super easy to aim and switch your stance. Normally, games leave you aiming from one perspective, where as with this game you physically have to switch which way your character is facing. Now, another aspect I love and (this is probably is I’m a bit of a psycho) is the fact you can kick items at your enemies. For example, whilst in a mass shootout, I decided that in order to get my way through it, I would just kick knives at people in addition to shooting them up.
The third level I took part in is a vehicle chase ‘em up, it was again easy to control, just weaving in and out of traffic whilst shooting up your enemies. Its nice that you are still able to switch it up and use your normal arsenal, whilst shooting up bosses and other vehicles.
Each round has a combo boost so the more kills you get and how quickly you link them together, as well as this including the parkour style back flip kills. All I can say is that this game will be an amazing addition to the Switch library, that I can see it making its way to other consoles in the near future.
Coming to both Switch and Steam June 2019.
