Mixer has announced that they have lowered the cost of its subscription.
Not happy with just signing Twitch’s biggest stars to their platform, Microsoft has announced a reduction to the cost of subscribing on Mixer, from $6 to $5.
With no surprise to anyone, this is exactly the same price for a Twitch Tier One subscription. As on Twitch, subscribing to a streamer on Mixer gets you a set of exclusive emotes and chat badges to denote you’ve subscribed. It also removes ads, though only from the channels you’re subscribed to.
Good news everyone!
Starting today all subscriptions will now be changing from $5.99 to $4.99 going forward when subscribing to any of your favorite Partners! 💙 pic.twitter.com/bFVLF4YSdU

In both cases, the platform takes a 50% cut of all subscriptions, and the streamer the other 50%. Twitch offers two other subscription tiers for increased prices, but those have yet to be introduced on Mixer.
