More than three years after the game’s first trailer, it will soon be time for console and PC gamers to start up their engines and to get ready to play Marvel’s Avengers. Crystal Dynamics and in extension Square Enix, are ready to capitalise on their investment as the superhero title is expected to sell millions of copies and to generate millions in profits. The infamous Foundation Engine that was used for the graphics of the game, guarantees that Marvel’s Avengers will be an 8th and 9th generation masterpiece.
The First Steps of a Gaming Marathon
During August, thousands of fans from all over the world had the opportunity to play the beta version of the game. Playing the beta version helped players understand what they should expect from Marvel’s Avengers in terms of gameplay. From this short gaming experience, gamers can see that the game is a looter brawler, which is very closely related to the gameplay of The Division or Destiny. In other words, games that can keep players engaged for hundreds of hours. The biggest part of the game can be played solo, but there are numerous areas which players can enjoy on multiplayer mode.
Just like with most modern games, Marvel’s Avengers will offer in-game purchases. However, the payment systems at online game stores do not always allow for easy payments. For example, when depositing by clicking at a pay by phone casino, your funds are quickly credited in your account, and you can start playing immediately. On the contrary, when you want to add funds to your PS Store account, you either need to buy a voucher from a store, to have a credit card, or to have a PayPal account. Simply using a debit card is not an option. This limits the purchasing flexibility and annoys many players who simply want to quickly use their debit card and to buy a game.
In terms of playable superheroes and without taking the rumours about additional characters into account, players will be able to control six characters. These are: Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk and Ms. Marvel. There will be more superheroes in the new future, but sadly, there will also be copyright limitations depending on the gaming system you are using. Certain commands are pretty basic regardless of the character you are using, but every character has certain unique abilities. Hulk, for example, can use his rage and Iron Man can use his suit’s weapons. Additionally, every character has an “ultimate” ability. The cooldown period for using the special abilities is similar to that of AC Odyssey.
The relatively traditional battle system is definitely going to win over gamers 30 years old and older as one does not need to combine hundreds of commands per minute in order to attack an opponent. Unlike the common belief that the game is a “button-masher”, Marvel’s Avengers can be played strategically using counter-attacks and evading to surprise your enemies, regardless if they are humans, robots or drones.
Destiny Fans Will Love This Game
A very important part of Marvel’s Avengers is the War Table. There, players can find every available mission for all the available locations. For those familiar with the Destiny franchise, the War Table is something like the solar system, and as an Avenger you will be able to travel from one location to the next just like a Destiny Guardian travels from one planet to another. By exploring the game and by competing in missions, you will find loot that helps you modify your character.
