Revealed on Sunday by the star of the John Wick films, Keanu Reeves, the actor announced that he will be performing in CDPR’s next title. The trailer simply showed the actor in the game, apart from that, it didn’t show a great deal of what he will be bringing to the game. New information appears to have come forward, as those in attendance at CDPR’s behind-closed-doors gameplay presentation have stated that Keanu Reeves will be more than just a cameo.
Reeves will be playing a character called Johnny Silverhand and fans of the tabletop RPG Cyberpunk 2020 (on which 2077 is based) will recognise him as an important character who tried to end the Fourth Corporate War.
Silverhand will be appearing in 2077 as a hologram that’s being projected by a chip placed in the player character’s mind. This hologram will have a relationship with V, who you’ll play as, guiding through key moments of the game’s narrative and offering advice throughout.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due to release on 16th of April 2020
