The strategic top down MMO shooter, Foxhole is receiving it’s Foundations of War update today, which sets to change how players fight the raging war. With hundreds of players sharing one persistent battlefield over weeks of combat, the game is set to receive it’s biggest update yet.
Along with visual upgrades, making the game far nicer to look at, the update is expanding the already mammoth game, focusing on urban combat both inside and outside of buildings, huge tanks, and ballistic rockets. Plus, the game is currently 40% off to celebrate the launch.
The newest update looks to expand some of the ground aspects of the game. Fully rendered towns have been build up, along with complete interiors. Allowing players to fight street to street, house to house in fast paced urban combat. Prolonged street battles can now rage amongst the abandoned buildings while fortifications are built.
Battle Tanks are making an entry to the game, these hulking behemoths can turn the tide of the war. However are expensive to build and operate, as well as requiring a crew of 5 players to fully function. The Lance-36 and Flood Mk-1 are now available to the respective sides.
And finally, the new Ballistic Rocket Super Weapons are now scattered around the world. Acting as a late game weapon, they require massive amounts of teamwork and resources to activate and operate, but the rewards outweigh the cons. For example, they’re able to level entire towns.
