In the latest AMD partner showcase video, Ubisoft have revealed several PC features that will be supported in their upcoming shooter Far Cry 6. The game will have DirectX raytracing, VRS, FideltyFX sharpening and more.
Ubisoft’s upcoming shooter Far Cry 6 will boast loads of AMD features on PC thanks to the partnership between the publisher and the American tech giant. In the latest AMD partner showcase video, the company allows the developers to talk about the visual features they have implemented in their games, Ubisoft revealed that Far Cry 6 will support ray-tracing, VRS, FideltyFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening and more.
Far Cry 6’s ray-tracing implementation will be based on DirectX ray-tracing and judging by the video, the game will offer ray-traced reflections. Other ray-traced visuals are yet to be confirmed by the developers but we expect to see ray-traced shadows and potentially ray-traced global illumination or ambient occlusion.

Far Cry 6 is officially hitting the shelves in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
