Paradox Interactive has just ended their annual PDXCON conference this weekend, making several key announcements. The biggest reveal being the announcement of Crusader Kings III, with most of their other games getting major expansions.
After 8 years, Paradox is moving ahead to make the next installment of the Crusader Kings franchise. Giving players control over a dysfunctional royal family, the newest edition is set to give into a more dynamic RPG genre. Allowing players more control over their families. It’ll also feature updated maps, and newer 3D character models as well. The game is set for release on PC in 2020.
Other announcements covered expansions for Paradox’s 4X strategy title Stellaris. Stellaris Federations bring new features to the vast voids of space. Focusing mainly on galactic alliances and trading leagues. This is set to come out this year. Paradox also looks towards Mars with the new installation for Surviving Mars, as Paradox looks to turn it into a franchise. Surviving the Aftermath, a post-apocalypse management game. The game is now available in early access on the Epic store.
Heart of Iron IV: La Resistance was also introduced. Adding elaborate spy networks to the game will allow players to sabotage enemy facilities, protect yourself from other spies, and establish their own intelligence agency to help further their own goals.
Other games such as Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations receives its first expansion, which brings news factions, as well as too new campaigns, 30 new locations, and robo-assassins. Revelations is due for release on November 19, 2019.
