Activison recently blessed us with video footage for 3 of the upcoming tracks that this legend of a game has to offer. It’s not a massive gameplay video but enough to keep us chomping our way through those Woompa fruits.
Now, I’ve always preferred Crash Bandicoot as opposed to Mario Kart, purely because I’ve loved Crash Bandicoot all my life and have a long-standing relationship with the game. The games themselves have always been that bit more engaging.
From first glimpse it does look that the levels themselves are going to be based on the original race courses, but there doesn’t appear to be solid , we are yet to know if there are any surprise courses in the pipeline like they did with the original trilogy in stormy decent and future tense.
The graphics themselves don’t seem too different from the recent remake of the original crash bandicoot trilogy but still it does look beautiful none the less. Control wise, I imagine it’s going to be straight forward, the only real thing to get your hand around is the weaponry were going to blessed with.
One thing I wish they included as it was one of my favourite crash kart games, was the tag team racing side of things. You could join forces with someone for the majority of the race and ruin people’s dreams as that last split second where you separate from the super megazord vehicle, down to the single mini zord and claiming victory for yourself.
