Capcom has been seeing major success in the first quarter of 2019 primarily thanks to the Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5.
Capcom recently updated its list of Platinum games which included updated figures for these games. Capcom claims that RE2 has sold 4.5 million units since its launch in January and Devil May Cry 5 has sold 2.5 million units since its release in March.
On top of these sales, Capcom expects both titles to sell another million each by the end of the current fiscal year.
Capcom attributes most of the recent sales of Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 to discounts for digital versions which is why they’re confident in seeing the sales figures balloon further.
Both Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 Remake are currently out on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
