Activision has partnered with Sony Mobile to launch the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, starting this Thursday.
Described as a global tournament, many details for the event are yet to be unveiled.
Activision has announced that any players looking to participate in the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship need to be ranked veteran or higher in the Ranked mode of the game. The event will have a total prize purse of $1 million (£812,200).
Chris Plummer, Vice President of Mobile at Activision, said in a recent interview: “We are very excited to launch our highly-anticipated competitive tournament in Call of Duty: Mobile. As the next-evolution in our fan-favorite Ranked Play, this tournament format gives eligible Call of Duty: Mobile players a chance to compete with players from around the world for cash and prizes.”
