Anthem has had a rough life so far, and no-one is more aware of this than the development team at BioWare. In a blog post on their website, Casey Hudson, General Manager of BioWare stated that “it’s been a rougher launch than expected.” and then further drove home the point that “We were of course very disappointed about that,”.
According to Hudson, the game has already seen over 200 improvements in its short life. Hudson also promised that “there’s a lot more work that we intend to do.”, with a lot of emphasis on the efforts of the community as a whole to help fix the game. Especially on the run up to May.
With a release set for later this spring, Cataclysm. Adding new events, story and features to the already packed out world of Anthem, Cataclysm will show off the rougher sides of life in-game. However, with a tight time schedule those at BioWare have little time to get the game functioning.
Hudson ends the blog, asking for understanding. “But we understand there is skepticism out there. We hear the criticisms and doubts. But we’ll keep going anyway, working hard every day on Anthem”.
