A recent reddit thread posted earlier this week alleges that the PC version of Fallout 76 is highly susceptible to hacking and cheating due to an easily moddable game engine. Bethesda however, has denied these claims and has since vowed to combat any hacking or cheating that could occur within the upcoming game.
Speaking to IGN, Bethesda has shrugged off the claims of the Reddit post, saying that they are “either inaccurate or based on incorrect assumptions.” He goes on to reassure that the community is working closely with Bethesda to actively counter any issues. “Our goal is always to deliver a great experience for all our players. Cheating or hacking will not be tolerated.”
Modding has already made its plan for Fallout 76, coming to the game sometime next year. However, according to Bethesda, this will be strictly limited to private servers, and not public ones.
