During a recent first quarter investor earnings call, EA’s Blake Jorgensen and Andrew Wilson revealed they have a decade-long plan for Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale franchise Apex Legends. Jorgensen and Wilson agreed that Apex Legends has huge potential to be added onto with post-launch content and ongoing events for gamers to engage in.
Every season Apex Legends receives new content but EA is looking at other ways to add to what they consider a great gameplay experience with positive fan feedback.
During the recent investors call, Andrew Wilson reassured everyone the Apex Legends community has 8-10 million active users on a weekly basis. Despite seeing numbers dip, EA is confident that with the addition of fresh content in seasons, events and other content drops Apex Legends will maintain relevance for a minimum of a decade.
EA bases these expectations off the current userbase but also the community feedback going forward.
Apex Legends is currently available for free on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
