7th Sector DEALS
We are back with another review and today we are going to be looking at 7th Sector for the PS4.
7th Sector is a cross between what could be seen as a platformer, but leans heavily on to it being a puzzle game. Very much like Limbo or Inside, even the atmospherics feel like these two at times and absolutely stands out in the game thanks to the games music and captivating local surroundings.
It is set in a cyberpunk world filled with mystery as you go along a path that includes many challenging puzzles and information so that you can discover the world around you.
You are in control of your character, sorry electrical current, yes you read right going along wires and other electrical objects with puzzle blocking your way.
As for the puzzles it really did vary, I found a few very easy and quite self explanatory. But when you came to say a harder one boy did I sit there thinking what the hell am I suppose to be doing. Granted again after about 20-30 minutes trial and erroring the puzzle and you suss it out you realise how easy it should of been from the start. Which to me is a sign of brilliant puzzle design OR absolute stupidity on my behalf.
Don’t get me wrong you also have enemies in the game which in all honestly don’t outshine the puzzles at all and in reality just help slow you down to drag the gameplay time out that bit longer due to a very strong ‘die, die, die, done it’ attitude.
My experience with 7th Sector was welcome but not celebrated. Reminiscent of games I rate highly like Limbo but fell short on content, story telling and gameplay. 7th Sector is not a must buy but if you want some decent puzzles and a bit of grunge by all means pick this game up.
