It’s hard to ignore the Battle Royale trend, with so many games jumping onto the popular bandwagon, with titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V, but it seems 343 Industries feels very differently. Recently, the Halo Infinite developer stated they’re not interested in bringing the game mode to their upcoming title.
During a recent stream, 343 Industries Jeff Easterling and James Bachici were asked about the Battle Royale game mode for the upcoming Halo game Easterling had a reply that shut the idea down completely. “I’ll tell you right now, the only BR we’re really interested in is Battle Rifle.”
Now, this isn’t the first time 343 Industries dismissed the idea of the popular game mode for their upcoming shooter. Earlier this year Easterling all but confirmed that the mode will not be added to the game, nor will any other current trends of the industry. Of course, with many eager to see how a Battle Royale Halo mode would look and feel within the Halo universe, at the moment 343 are holding firm with their stance.
